Ann Mione's Story
Life
Still living in Fla. and finally got married for the 1st time on my 39th b-day to a fella named Jim Purser. He works for a St. Louis company - Alvey Systems, Inc. and is the king of engineering material handling systems. (Tropicana O.J., Maxwell House, Zephyrhills, Pepsi, etc.) We have no children together, but Jimmy has a daughter who is now 25. After stepparenting I chose to remain an aunt for the rest of my life. Passing up that childbirth experience was not something which left an everlasting maternal void - no sir, not me!!
Instead I mommy animals - I have 23 ducks, 7 bunnies, 2 chickens, a rooster, a cocker spaniel, 2 cats and a cockatiel!! And I LOVE THEM ALL!! Call me Ellie May. We live on 2½ acres so I've gone a bit ... truly educational watching how this mother nature thing works!!
My folks live an hour away in Homosassa, FL. They are great besides being generally annoyed with the aging process!! They play golf several times a week, had their 50th annivers...Expand for more
ary in Dec. of '99 and are starting a new chapter with grandchildren starting to marry! They now have one great granddaughter and another due January 2006. My brother and wife Pam live about 25 mins. away. Pam worked with me for 10 years when I had my graphics shop. I sold it in '98 and now work out of the house continuing with graphics, website and video design. My sister Jeannie is married and lives about 25 mins away. My other sister, Jenn lives in Oklahoma for some reason! All my nieces & nephews are awesome - I'm terribly proud of all 7.
For ten years I've been hosting a karaoke show. And since stepparenting made me crazy, I published a book called THE STEPPARENT SURVIVAL GUIDE. I barely sold a couple of hundred of them, but the venting was worth it.
I watched a show recently which posed the question "If you knew you would die tomorrow, what regrets would you have?" My answer is "nothing, absolutely nothing." So I rate my life as a 10 - no matter what happens from here!
